Marana Detention Center | Marana, AZ $18.57 per hour | Full-time Responsible for duties involving general maintenance and repairs of equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives Why join the MTC team? Recommend contracted assistance when on-site repair is not possible. Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets, and fuses as directed. Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork. Install window shades or coverings, security locks, etc. Perform repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, washers, seals, etc. Help prepare surfaces for finishing, i.e., painting, as directed. Coordinating the work of detainees assigned to facility maintenance if applicable. Perform preventive maintenance checks of buildings and equipment. Perform routine schedules checks of air conditioning systems. Requires long periods of walking and standing. What you will need High school diploma or GED, technical training and general knowledge of repair and maintenance, two (2) years of maintenance experience required US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required. Must successfully complete required preservice training. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
