Industrial Maintenance Technical Assistant A full-time hourly position with upward mobility. Operation includes animal feed mills, packaging equipment and distribution. Team oriented operation. Position requires both independent and group work duties. Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, fans, pneumatic valves, conveyor systems, boiler and production machines. Troubleshoot operational problems and make needed repairs. Perform light fabrication welding and assembly. Prevent damage by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for irregularities; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs and straightedges. Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Participate and/or present monthly safety seminars to labor staff. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
