Until Filled This is semi-skilled work associated with projects and activities within the Public Works Department. Work involves helping at the Recycling Center, working around park areas; litter control, cleaning restrooms, weed eating, grass cutting, weeding planted beds and assorted park maintenance tasks. May be required to work in other divisions within the Public Works Department. Tasks require the ability to exert physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds). Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by previous experience and/or training involving street maintenance, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Possession of a valid Georgia Driver's License. E.O.E.
