This role assists with inspecting appliances, performing routine maintenance tasks, identifying service needs, preparing tools and parts, and helping maintain safe and efficient appliance operation. Responsibilities Inspect household appliances for maintenance, service, and repair needs. Assist with routine appliance maintenance and preventative service tasks. Support technicians with basic troubleshooting and appliance diagnostics. Prepare tools, replacement parts, equipment, and materials for scheduled jobs. Safely use basic hand tools and service equipment according to instructions. Assist with cleaning, adjusting, removing, replacing, and installing appliance components. Help identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning appliance parts. Follow maintenance procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and workplace safety standards. Test appliances after maintenance or service to help ensure proper operation. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Handle tools, parts, equipment, and customer property carefully and professionally. Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing maintenance equipment and materials. Communicate parts, equipment, and service needs to technicians or supervisors. Document completed maintenance tasks and report service-related information accurately. Help maintain organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies. Keep service vehicles, tools, and equipment organized when assigned. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or additional maintenance needs promptly. Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers during service visits. Assist with preparing work areas before service and cleaning them afterward. Perform other appliance maintenance and service support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous appliance maintenance, repair, mechanical, electrical, technical, or service experience is preferred but not required. Basic familiarity with hand tools and service equipment is helpful. Willingness to learn appliance maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Dependable, detail-oriented, and responsible work habits. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines. Comfortable working independently and as part of a service team. Good problem-solving and organizational skills. Comfortable working in residential and service environments. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks and work with tools and equipment. Professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
