Maintenance Manager

Job Description

A growing manufacturing facility is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and support a fast-paced production environment. This role is best suited for someone who can lead technicians, prioritize downtime issues, improve preventative maintenance execution, and drive accountability while remaining highly engaged with plant operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, troubleshooting ability, and experience working within regulated industrial manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise maintenance technicians across daily plant operations Manage preventative maintenance programs, work orders, and equipment reliability initiatives Coordinate labor scheduling, technician assignments, and weekly payroll approvals Support production by minimizing downtime and responding to equipment failures with urgency Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment issues Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts organization, and maintenance documentation Work closely with operations and quality teams to improve overall plant performance Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Manage outside vendors, contractors, and OEM relationships Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and regulatory requirements Support and maintain PSM-related programs and procedures Oversee ammonia refrigeration maintenance activities and contractor coordination Develop and mentor maintenance personnel while building accountability within the department Qualifications Previous maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, food production, chemical, or industrial processing environments Experience working around ammonia refrigeration systems Working knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) programs and compliance requirements Strong troubleshooting background in industrial equipment and plant systems Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, inventory/spare parts management, and maintenance planning Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems preferred Ability to communicate effectively with both plant leadership and maintenance personnel Schedule Monday-Friday Typical schedule: 8am-5pm
