Job Description

Repair Shop ForemanCountry Village Power Equipment & Golf Carts — Webster, Florida Are you a career mechanic who is ready to lead a professional repair team while still turning wrenches? Country Village Power Equipment & Golf Carts is looking for an experienced, motivated Repair Shop Foreman to join our team in Webster, Florida. This is not a desk job . We are looking for a working leader who enjoys diagnosing problems, fixing equipment, helping other technicians succeed, and making sure every machine that leaves our shop is repaired correctly and ready for the customer. We operate a professional, organized repair facility with a strong focus on quality workmanship, customer service, efficiency, and doing the job right the first time.
THE POSITION
This is a 50/50 Working Shop Foreman position. You will spend approximately 20+ hours per week billing productive repair time on work orders , while using the remainder of your time to lead the shop and keep the repair department moving. You will be responsible for managing the repair process from the moment a machine enters the shop until it passes final quality control and is ready for the customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
Dispatching and assigning repair work to technicians Diagnosing difficult or complicated mechanical and electrical problems Performing hands-on repairs and troubleshooting Maintaining a minimum of 20 billable repair hours per week Reviewing incoming work and establishing repair priorities Writing and reviewing estimates Communicating repair needs and recommendations Monitoring the shop's repair pipeline and workflow Making sure technicians have the information, parts, tools, and direction needed to complete their work Inspecting completed repairs Performing final testing and quality control before equipment leaves the shop Identifying repeat failures and finding ways to prevent them Helping technicians improve their diagnostic and repair skills Maintaining professional repair standards and procedures Helping keep the shop organized, productive, and safe Working with management and parts personnel to keep repairs moving Helping develop and improve shop procedures and processes Stepping in wherever needed to keep customers' equipment moving through the shop
WHAT WE REPAIR
Our shop works on a wide variety of equipment, including: Golf carts and utility vehicles Zero-turn and commercial lawnmowers Walk-behind mowers Generators Handheld power equipment Small engines Gas and EFI systems Electrical and charging systems Hydraulic and mechanical systems Other professional power equipment and related products Because of the variety of equipment we service, strong diagnostic ability and mechanical problem-solving skills are extremely important.

You'll know you're doing the job well when: Technicians know what needs to be done. Repairs don't sit unnecessarily waiting for direction. Customers receive accurate estimates and quality repairs. Completed equipment is properly tested before leaving. Repeat repairs and comebacks are minimized. The shop gets better and more efficient over time. Most importantly, you will be the person the team can count on when something difficult comes through the door.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
We believe professional technicians deserve a professional work environment. Our shop is air-conditioned and operates on a consistent schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-5:00 PM No Saturday or Sunday work We are closed on weekends, allowing our team to have a predictable work schedule and time outside of work.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Professional mechanical repair experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Ability to lead and direct other technicians Strong attention to detail Reliable transportation Professional attitude and appearance Tools you must have the tools to do the job. Ability to communicate effectively Ability to safely operate and troubleshoot various types of power equipment
Preferred:
Previous shop foreman, lead technician, or senior technician experience Small-engine repair experience Golf cart repair experience EFI diagnostic experience Electrical troubleshooting experience Hydraulic system experience Experience working with diagnostic equipment and scan tools Experience estimating repairs Experience managing a repair workflow We are more interested in what you can diagnose and repair than how many certificates are hanging on your wall.
