Maintenance Supervisor Denison, IA | Direct Hire A food manufacturing facility is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams responsible for the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of critical equipment across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. This role focuses on minimizing mechanical downtime and maximizing production efficiency by overseeing maintenance of key processes and equipment across two shifts. Schedule 1st and 2nd shift coverage. May require occasional long hours and weekend work depending on operational needs. Compensation $80,000 to $100,000, plus bonus. What You'll Do This role leads teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance as well as machine repairs, while training employees on proper work methods and safety procedures. The supervisor oversees maintenance systems, processes, and documentation to ensure consistent performance, and coordinates with Production to schedule equipment and facility repairs in a timely manner. Developing and implementing maintenance systems, including Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and SOPs, is a core part of the role, along with providing both long-term solutions and day to day support for troubleshooting and equipment failures. The supervisor develops and maintains KPIs to track maintenance performance, including supplier performance, contractor performance, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness, and provides regular status reports to the maintenance management team. This role also ensures maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintains accurate records of maintenance work and inventory, while supporting employee development and coaching across the team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff, or managing a process or project Ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts on high-level process issues Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Good planning and priority-setting skills Preferred Qualifications Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boilers, compressed air, and mechanical/electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering) Experience leading resource planning in a large manufacturing environment Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and inventory/scheduling software Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision making, delegation) Bilingual Compensation and Benefits Base salary $80,000 to $100,000 plus bonus Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) PTO To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
