Who We're Looking for We're looking for a Maintenance Manager who can lead the day-to-day maintenance function, support and develop maintenance technicians, and keep our equipment, building, and property running safely and reliably. This role requires strong hands-on maintenance knowledge, good judgment, and the ability to organize work, set priorities, and build a more proactive maintenance program in a manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Manager will work closely with the production team and will report to the Plant Manager. What you'll be doing: With the use of digital tools, your experience, and industry standards you will… Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance, repair, installation, and improvement work for equipment, machinery, and facility systems Maintain property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through development and implementation of preventive maintenance program Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications Support the safe and reliable operation of facility systems, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems Interface with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests Interface with appropriate staff/managers, engineers, and outside contractors to review and/or develop renovation and new construction plans, coordinates communication with and work of outside contractors Ensure all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensure property is following all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations Supervise and assist staff in the maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and property as needed Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws; implement OSHA and ADA guidelines and programs Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills Contribute to capital planning and supervise the installation of approved capital equipment Hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop maintenance staff; manage schedules and workflow. Assign duties and monitor quality of work; ensure staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and safety regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Experience and Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, OR three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) preferred Computer skills required: HR/People management software Spreadsheet Software (Excel) Contract Management systems Inventory Software Order Processing systems Project Management software Word Processing software (Word) Email Software (Microsoft) Presentation software (PowerPoint) MMS (Maintenance Management Software) Desired Skills Three to five years of maintenance management experience. Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment. Ability to keep track of and report on activity. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems. Excellent management and supervisory skills.
