Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the the Systems Director-Facilities Management, and the EMH System Facilities Manager the Engineering Facility Technician performs daily repairs as well as building and grounds operation and maintenance. Exhibits the

F.I.R.S.T.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as a liaison with the Engineering Department.

Acts as a liaison with the Safety and Security Department.

Performs daily maintenance necessary to maintain equipment, and building components to enhance building and grounds.

Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills.

Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization.

Contributes to the effective operations of the Organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance.

Demonstrates a commitment to incorporating the core concepts of patient family centered care into practice (dignity, respect, information sharing, and participation).

Demonstrates a commitment to the development and implementation of shared governance across the Organization.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

The task of this job does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require performing supplemental tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Must be able to move or position 50 lbs. independently. Must be able to pass the color blindness test.

CONTACTS WITH OTHERS

Interacts with clients, Associates, physicians, and referring agencies on a routine basis. Experience in maintenance activities preferred.
