Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment by performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across various building systems. Your expertise will help sustain the integrity of our facilities, enhance safety standards, and support daily operations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, building interior, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain climate control efficiency throughout the facility. Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including pipe fittings, leak detection, and fixture servicing. Utilize welding skills for metal repairs and fabrication tasks as needed. Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery issues and performing preventive maintenance on various equipment. Lead or assist with carpentry projects such as building interior structures or repairing fixtures; supervise or mentor junior team members when necessary. Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems; interpret schematics for accurate repairs. Conduct maintenance painting to improve facility appearance and protect surfaces from wear. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used to ensure compliance with safety standards. Support customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally to minimize downtime. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, or mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with electrical equipment repair, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices within residential or commercial environments. Skilled in welding, carpentry, painting, plumbing system maintenance & repair, and HVAC system servicing. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics is highly desirable. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred; ability to lead small teams or oversee projects effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members. $22.65 - $27.28 per hour
