Job Description
Job Summary Todd's Services, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Landscape Maintenance Operations and Snow Services to lead our maintenance division across multiple branches in. This leadership role is responsible for establishing and maintaining high-performance operational standards, overseeing grounds maintenance, landscaping, and winter snow services. The ideal candidate will bring outdoor work experience, crew management skills, and a strong understanding of landscaping equipment operation, lawn care, hardscape installation, and company vehicle management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring company-wide production excellence, team development, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Establish, standardize, and enforce operational procedures, production benchmarks, and quality standards across all three branches.
Oversee the seasonal operational rhythm at every location, including spring cleanups, peak mowing season, enhancement projects, fall cleanups, and winter snow operations.
Monitor branch-level field operations to ensure disciplined scheduling, efficient routing, and proactive contingency planning for weather disruptions.
Own and enforce standards for workplace safety, equipment care, and jobsite professionalism across the maintenance division.
Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Superintendents at each location, with a pathway to elevate high performers into Branch Production Manager roles as the company scales.
Build a cohesive, high-performance leadership culture across all three branches with consistent standards and shared accountability.
Forecast divisional labor demands by branch and season, partner with HR on talent acquisition, and oversee onboarding for new leaders.
Identify and develop internal talent at every level, growing foremen into superintendents and superintendents into managers.
Own the financial performance of the maintenance division, monitoring labor hours, overtime, and operational costs against budget, and correct budgetary drift before it impacts month-end results.
Hold branch leadership accountable for accurate timekeeping, fleet utilization, and yard inventory, and provide executive leadership with clear weekly performance reporting.
Maintain consistent, high-quality commercial service through regular field inspections, and collaborate with Account Managers and Maintenance Sales teams on walk-throughs, account retention, and enhancement opportunities.
Provide strategic, company-wide oversight of the snow and ice management program, from pre-season planning through live storm execution and post-event administration, serving as the senior decision-maker during major weather events. Requirements
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial landscape maintenance or the green industry.
Proven experience leading multi-location or multi-branch operations, with direct oversight of subordinate managers and superintendents.
Demonstrated track record managing large-scale divisional budgets, labor hours, and complex route-based scheduling across multiple sites.
Deep technical knowledge of commercial mowing, horticultural maintenance, and landscape enhancement projects.
Extensive experience managing winter operations, including route planning, live storm management, and subcontractor coordination.
Proficiency with scheduling software, CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and executive-level performance reporting.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to handle trucks and trailers (Chauffeur's endorsement required, or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Willingness and ability to travel regularly between all three branch locations (Hamburg, Traverse City, and Indian River, MI).
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, and industry credentials such as NALP Landscape Industry Certified, Commercial Pesticide Applicator License, or SIMA certification, are a plus.
