Job Summary Nate O'Grady Landscape & Tree Service is seeking an experienced Maintenance Division Manager to lead and continue developing our landscape maintenance operations as the company grows. This is a key leadership position for someone who understands the landscape maintenance industry, knows how to manage people and production, and has the ability to think beyond today's schedule. We are not simply looking for someone to dispatch crews. We want a natural leader and problem solver who can take ownership of a division, develop employees, improve systems, maintain high quality standards, identify opportunities for growth, and help us build a stronger and more scalable operation. For the right individual, this position can also include sales and account growth opportunities , allowing you to play a direct role in expanding the division you manage. The Role The Maintenance Division Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of our maintenance operations while working directly with company leadership to improve and grow the division over the long term.
Responsibilities may include:
Managing landscape maintenance crews, foremen, and field personnel Planning and coordinating daily and weekly schedules Managing labor, equipment, and resources Monitoring job quality and production Training and developing employees Holding team members accountable to company standards Improving routing, scheduling, and operational efficiency Identifying staffing and equipment needs Maintaining strong communication between field crews and management Helping establish and improve operating procedures Resolving field and customer issues Monitoring job performance and identifying opportunities for improvement Supporting recruiting and employee development Maintaining a professional standard across the division Building relationships with existing customers Identifying enhancement and additional service opportunities Assisting with estimating and sales based on experience and ability Helping grow recurring maintenance accounts and overall division revenue Who We're Looking For This position requires relevant industry and leadership experience. We are looking for someone who: Has experience in professional landscape maintenance or a closely related field Has successfully led employees and crews Naturally takes ownership of problems Can make decisions without needing constant direction Understands production, scheduling, and labor management Is organized and able to manage multiple moving pieces Communicates clearly and professionally with both employees and customers Sets expectations and holds people accountable Can earn the respect of field employees Understands the difference between being busy and being productive Has high standards for quality Recognizes opportunities to improve and grow customer relationships Is comfortable taking on sales responsibilities or interested in developing those skills Wants to continuously improve themselves and the people around them We value critical thinking heavily. We don't expect our managers to know the answer to everything. We do expect them to take ownership, find answers, and keep moving forward.
