This role oversees a team of technicians, ensuring safe, reliable operation of processing and packaging equipment through preventive and predictive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The manager partners with production, quality, and engineering to minimize downtime, support capital projects, and maintain regulatory and food safety standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise maintenance technicians in a high-volume food manufacturing plant Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventive and predictive maintenance activities Troubleshoot and repair production, packaging, and facility equipment to reduce downtime Implement and improve maintenance programs, CMMS usage, and spare parts inventory control Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements in all maintenance work Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support line efficiency and reliability Manage maintenance budgets, vendors, and contractors for equipment and services Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build technical capability and engagement Support continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and capital projects implementation Maintain accurate maintenance records, KPIs, and reports for leadership Required Skills Industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair Preventive and predictive maintenance planning PLC and automation systems basics Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems CMMS maintenance management systems Root cause analysis and reliability improvement Safety and OSHA/food safety compliance Vendor and contractor management Maintenance budgeting and cost control Team leadership and training
