Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the team, projects, and daily operations that keep our campus safe, functional, and running smoothly. Our students live, learn, and prepare for their careers here—and your team helps maintain the environment that makes that possible. 💰
Salary:
$70,000 annually 🕗
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 🚗
Required:
Valid in-state driver's license 🔧 What You'll Do As Maintenance Manager, you'll provide overall leadership for the Center's facility maintenance operations, including: Oversee daily facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance Lead, train, schedule, and hold Maintenance staff accountable for quality work Manage the computerized work order system and ensure repairs are completed on time Oversee outside contractors, subcontracted work, scopes of work, and project quality Support budgeting, facility planning, energy conservation, and department resources Identify facility concerns and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained Coordinate maintenance projects with Center leadership and other departments Supervise and train Work-Based Learning students and student workers assigned to Maintenance The goal isn't simply to fix what's broken—it's to keep our campus running and prevent problems before they happen. 👥 We're Looking for a Leader This position is ideal for someone who can do the work, organize the work, and lead the people doing it.
You should be comfortable:
✔ Leading and developing a maintenance team ✔ Prioritizing repairs and managing multiple projects ✔ Training employees and setting clear expectations ✔ Holding staff accountable and addressing performance concerns ✔ Working with contractors and vendors ✔ Using computerized work-order systems ✔ Managing deadlines, budgets, and department resources ✔ Solving problems and following through until they're corrected 🎓
Qualifications Required:
Experience in facility maintenance and employee supervision Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to navigate computerized systems Valid in-state driver's license
Preferred:

High School Diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED
Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school or technical certification preferred. Three to five years experience in facility/maintenance supervisory capacity and Electrician, HVAC or Plumbing license preferred. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
