Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced live-in superintendent in a Coop building located in Tuckahoe, NY to oversee the day to day maintenance and operation of the property. The ideal candidate will be hands-on organized and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and well- operated for residents.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property
Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways and exterior grounds
Monitor building systems and report maintenance issues to Management
Handle garbage and recycling
Perform snow removal and salting walkways
Oversee staff members
Keep boiler room, mechanical areas, and storage areas clean and organized
Enforce building polices and report violations to Management
On call 24/7 for emergencies- able to respond to emergencies and building needs after hours.

Qualifications:

Previous building maintenance or superintendent experience preferred

Basic Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general repair work
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Able to respond to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
