Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced live-in superintendent in a Coop building located in Tuckahoe, NY to oversee the day to day maintenance and operation of the property. The ideal candidate will be hands-on organized and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and well- operated for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways and exterior grounds
- Monitor building systems and report maintenance issues to Management
- Handle garbage and recycling
- Perform snow removal and salting walkways
- Oversee staff members
- Keep boiler room, mechanical areas, and storage areas clean and organized
- Enforce building polices and report violations to Management
- On call 24/7 for emergencies- able to respond to emergencies and building needs after hours.
Qualifications:
Previous building maintenance or superintendent experience preferred- Basic Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general repair work
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Able to respond to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
