We're seeking a Maintenance Enhancement Crew Lead who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, leads by example, and treats clients and teammates with respect. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys running clean, efficient job sites, coaching a crew, and delivering consistently high-quality landscape enhancement work.

Work Location:
In person; job sites throughout the region (reporting from Chardon) What You'll Do Lead and manage a crew performing landscape maintenance enhancements including mulch installs, bed renovations, pruning, edging, cleanups, plantings, and seasonal color Review daily work orders, confirm scope, and set the plan before production begins Delegate tasks, maintain productivity, and ensure quality standards are met on every site Serve as the on-site point of contact; communicate professionally with clients and identify add-on or change-order opportunities Load and organize trucks and trailers with proper tools, materials, and PPE Operate and oversee the safe use of mowers, trimmers, blowers, and small equipment Perform daily equipment and vehicle inspections; keep trucks clean and report repair needs promptly Protect existing landscaping, utilities, irrigation, lighting, turf, and hardscape during work Execute and oversee proper pruning practices, including plant health, timing, and clean cuts Install plants correctly (soil prep, depth, staking, watering, cleanup) and communicate basic care guidance Install, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage landscape lighting, including fixtures, wiring, transformers, timers, and adjustments Perform basic irrigation work as assigned (startups/shutdowns, zone checks, head/nozzle adjustments, minor repairs, controller basics) and communicate issues requiring advanced service Track materials, manage waste, and request supplies before shortages impact production Coach crew members in the field, correct issues professionally, and hold quality and safety standards Maintain job-site safety, conduct tailgate safety talks as needed, and address unsafe behavior immediately Coordinate with the office and production team regarding weather impacts, delays, and schedule changes Accurately track time and job progress and close out each site with a clean, professional finish What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in landscape maintenance and enhancements (lead or foreman experience preferred) Valid driver's license required Reliable, punctual, and physically able to work outdoors and lift 50+ lbs Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train, coach, and enforce standards Detail-oriented with a "leave it better than we found it" mindset Winter Expectations Winter employment includes snow and ice management responsibilities. Work approximately 36 hours Snow events may require early-morning, overnight, weekend, or holiday work depending on storm timing and service commitments. Foremen may be responsible for leading snow crews, coordinating equipment and materials, monitoring properties, and communicating changing conditions to management. Must be dependable, responsive, and prepared to work safely in cold, snowy, and changing conditions.
