Maintenance Supervisor 2nd shift

Job Description

Summary Directs the operations of maintenance of machinery & equipment to provide uninterrupted service. Investigates and analyzes a wide variety of maintenance related items to increase efficiency. Recommends equipment and repair and or replacement. Plans layouts for fabrication, assembly, tooling and other maintenance sequences.
  • Directs the operations and maintenance of steam, mechanical, compressed air, water and refrigeration systems to provide uninterrupted service
  • Plans and establishes machinery production settings (steam pressure, temperature, tonnage of press, etc.) so that equipment runs with the proper settings
  • Develops, schedules, and controls a preventative maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment
  • Directs, supervises, coordinates mechanical maintenance personnel
  • Responsible for the activities of all maintenance personnel to ensure that high standards of workmanship and safety are maintained
  • Ensure proper maintenance of facility machinery and buildings
  • Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or achieve desired results
  • Identifies cost reduction opportunities
  • Utilizes technical expertise to implement or oversee the implementation of cost reduction ideas suggested by self and others
  • Maintains inventories of maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically reviews inventory for proper upkeep for plant facilities
  • Directs the work of outside contractors. Ensures high standards of safety are developed, met & maintained
  • Assist in providing and maintaining a safe workplace
  • Manages employees in the Maintenance Department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this unit Education / Experience Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from community college is preferred Minimum of five to eight years related manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred Ability to manage several departments Are you excited to work in a global and multi-cultural work environment and are you looking for an inspiring and engaging workplace?

Pay:
$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
