West Fraser is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead mill maintenance operations at our manufacturing facility. In this safety-first, team-oriented role, you will oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance, manage a multi-trade crew, and ensure reliable operation of sawmill and wood products equipment. Responsibilities include planning preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinating shutdowns, controlling budgets, and driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement. You'll champion safety, develop team skills, and support sustainable, efficient production in a modern, high-volume manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead daily maintenance operations in a wood products manufacturing facility Supervise and develop a multi-trade mechanical and electrical maintenance team Plan and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and repair activities to minimize downtime Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and contractor services Use CMMS to prioritize, schedule, and track maintenance work orders Perform root cause analysis and implement reliability improvements Collaborate with production leadership to support uptime and quality goals Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Required Skills Industrial maintenance management Mechanical systems troubleshooting Electrical systems maintenance Preventive and predictive maintenance CMMS software Budgeting and cost control Root cause analysis Safety program management Project planning and scheduling Team leadership
