Lead Maintenance Technician

•3rd Shift (Direct Hire)

Position Type:

Direct Hire Join a Growing Manufacturing Team! We're seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime, and mentoring fellow maintenance technicians.

Lead, support, and mentor maintenance technicians on the shift.

Train team members on maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and safety practices.

Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and conveyor systems.

Diagnose equipment failures quickly to minimize production downtime.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.

Assist with installation of new machinery and modifications to existing equipment.

Participate in machine setups and product changeovers.

Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in the CMMS.

Maintain equipment history records and preventative maintenance documentation.

Work closely with Production and Engineering to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements that extend machine life and improve performance.

Safely operate forklifts and scissor lifts when necessary.

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Support production needs while minimizing operational disruptions.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience troubleshooting and repairing:

PLC-controlled equipment

Hydraulics

Pneumatics

Electric motors

Pumps

Conveyors

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Previous experience training or mentoring maintenance technicians is preferred.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or additional shifts when needed.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Technical school training in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.

Travel

Minimal travel required between local manufacturing facilities.
