Job Summary This entry level position in our Lancaster, PA office is responsible for reading residential and commercial gas meters and recording readings using handheld computers vial walking and mobile routes. Meter readers also interact with customers to gain access to premises and answer questions as required while completing routine meter inspections and performing collections work. Company vehicle is provided. Duties and Responsibilities\nReading residential and commerical meters and recording readings using handheld computers via walking and mobile routes\nComplete routing meter inspections\nPerform collections work\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check. Safe driving history (confirmed by driver's record check) - recent and/or multiple driving violations may disqualify a candidate from employment. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license during the course of employment\nMust be able to follow all Company safety policies and procedures and protect Company assets. Ability to work effectively with supervision, fellow employees, customers and public. Must be able to complete walking and/or driving routes on a daily basis in all weather conditions\nGeneral Computer Knowledge\nAbilit to use general hand tools\nPrevious meter reading experience is preferrred\nCustomer serivce and collections experience helpful Education and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent\nPA Driver's license UGI Utilities, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
