In this role, you will help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy aggregate processing machinery including rock crushers, vibrating shakers, conveyor systems, and screen decks. Whether you are an experienced quarry mechanic or an entry-level technician with strong mechanical aptitude, basic welding skills, and an eagerness to learn, we encourage you to apply. We are willing to train the right individual who brings a strong work ethic and a desire to grow in the industry. Job locations include Tuscaloosa and Birmingham area. Learn:
Prior experience working with quarry/mining machinery (crushers, shakers, screens) is preferred, but candidates with strong general mechanical skills and a drive to learn are highly encouraged to apply.
Welding Knowledge:
Basic proficiency in arc/stick and MIG welding and torch cutting.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, alignment tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely.
Physical Stamina:
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
Safety First:
Strong commitment to workplace safety regulations and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reliability:
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to the job site.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
