Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm $21 - $32/hour Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize machinery used in automotive metal fabrication. The Industrial Equipment Technician will play an important role in keeping production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position requires hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and industrial equipment systems. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver who can quickly identify equipment issues, perform repairs, and work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on industrial fabrication equipment, including stamping presses, robotic welders, CNC machines, and related machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other equipment problems and complete repairs as needed. Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools. Assist with the installation, setup, calibration, and alignment of new machinery and equipment. Work with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment setups for safety, quality, and efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and work areas to identify potential safety or maintenance concerns. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance. Monitor equipment performance and help identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment operation, maintenance processes, and production efficiency. Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies and request replacements as needed. Communicate equipment issues, completed repairs, and ongoing maintenance needs to supervisors and appropriate team members. Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other technicians to resolve operational challenges. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and production employees regarding equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable industry standards while performing maintenance and repair work. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, certification, or formal training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred. Previous experience as an Industrial Equipment Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role. Experience in automotive manufacturing, metal fabrication, or a similar industrial production environment preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and industrial equipment systems. Experience troubleshooting and repairing production machinery. Ability to use diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and common maintenance tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential equipment issues before they result in downtime. Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects and equipment as required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various physical positions for extended periods. Ability to work around industrial machinery, fabrication equipment, noise, and other manufacturing conditions. Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments as needed. Ability to follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. #IND1
