We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Millwright Laborer to assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of agricultural and industrial equipment. This is a hands-on position involving mechanical work, heavy labor, crane rigging assistance, work at elevated heights, and a variety of other field and shop duties. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and capable of working effectively both as part of a crew and independently when needed. This position includes outdoor fieldwork, overtime, travel, and emergency callouts as needed. Applicants should understand that the work can be physically demanding and is performed in a variety of weather and jobsite conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, repair, maintain, and rebuild agricultural and industrial equipment, including grain elevators, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and other agricultural systems and components Troubleshoot mechanical problems and assist with necessary repairs Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and inspecting equipment Assist with equipment installations, modifications, assembly, and system rebuilds Perform crane rigging and provide ground assistance to certified crane operators Work safely at elevated heights using required fall-protection equipment Transport materials, tools, parts, and equipment as needed Safely operate hand and power tools, including wrenches, grinders, drills, and related equipment Operate forklifts, skid steers, aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment when properly trained or certified Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Respond to emergency service callouts when required Perform fieldwork, shop work, and other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred One to two years of industrial, mechanical, agricultural, construction, or manufacturing experience preferred Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to safely use hand and power tools Experience operating heavy equipment preferred; applicable certifications are a plus Ability to read and understand basic diagrams, instructions, and schematics Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn Self-motivated, mentally resilient, and able to remain focused and productive while working independently without constant supervision when assigned Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a crew Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier loads using team members or appropriate equipment Willingness to work overtime, travel, and respond to emergency callouts as needed Physical Demands and Working Conditions This position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Employees must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Work may be performed at elevated heights, around moving machinery, and in confined spaces. Confined-space work is not required on every job but may occur regularly depending on the project. Employees may work in the company shop; however, much of the work is performed at customer facilities and outdoor jobsites. Field employees are regularly exposed to dust, dirt, noise, uneven surfaces, and changing weather conditions, including extreme summer heat and cold winter temperatures. Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
