This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, building and modifying parts, troubleshooting equipment, and learning new technical skills . Experience with machining, welding, electrical systems, or industrial equipment is a plus — but we're willing to train the right person. What You'll Do Assist engineers with the fabrication and modification of prototype and sample parts Perform basic machining using manual lathes, drill presses, and vertical mills Assist with MIG and TIG welding of samples, fixtures, and tooling Assemble and disassemble mechanical parts and test units Help engineers set up, monitor, and tear down equipment testing Support dynamometer testing of speed reducers, gearmotors, and induction motors Assist with pre- and post-test preparation, measurements, and dimensional inspections Help troubleshoot equipment and participate in root-cause analysis Maintain, service, and repair shop equipment and forklifts Assist with maintenance and calibration of dynamometer test equipment Support facility repairs and improvement projects involving air lines, power, shipping equipment, plant offices, and the shipping yard Update computerized maintenance logs and equipment schedules Provide ideas for equipment, process, and system improvements What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, repair, fabrication, automotive, industrial, construction, or similar work Ability to read or learn to read engineering drawings, sketches, and basic layouts Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Comfortable working around industrial equipment and lifting heavier mechanical parts Reliable with a strong attendance record Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED required Trade school, technical program, or similar training is a plus Basic electrical knowledge is a plus Spanish language skills are a plus Machining or welding experience is NOT required. We are willing to train someone with the right mechanical aptitude and desire to learn.
