Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented laborer to join our dynamic team. This is an entry-level position with the goal of advancing to a manager role within 90 days.
Previous construction experience is required. Specific fireplace installation skills and experience are not necessary. We will provide on-the-job training.
Starting wage will increase after a 90-day review of job performance. The rate will increase according to skill, performance, and initiative.
In this role, you will install a variety of fireplaces, including gas, wood, and electric units, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
This position includes installing factory-built fireplaces, free-standing units, and inserts, including venting and all components necessary for completion. Every job is different; the ability to lead and think through a variety of situations is essential. Clear, kind, and informative communication with customers and contractors. Administrative duties include creating and updating a material list used to create an invoice. Your expertise will help transform spaces by delivering professional installation services that meet industry standards and client expectations. Possible gas stipend if commuting from the Carson Valley.
Duties Read installation instructions and install fireplaces accurately according to specifications. Install venting systems and other components necessary for fireplace operation while adhering to safety codes. Ability to operate heavy equipment or scaffolding as needed for elevated or large-scale installations is a bonus. Collaborate with team members including plumbers, electricians, masons, and other trades to coordinate seamless project execution. Skills Leadership skills. Can learn and understand a role and execute. Lift heavy equipment that may exceed 200 pounds. Can climb a ladder. Can work on a roof (sometimes steep roofs). Carpentry and/or framing skills is a plus. Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate installation planning. Experience with construction management principles to oversee project timelines and quality control. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding. Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and inspection procedures. Integrity and honesty. Takes initiative. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. With the required skills listed above, the starting pay is $25 - $35 per hour.
