West Fraser is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our Skilled Labor team in a modern manufacturing environment. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair state-of-the-art milling and wood-processing equipment to support safe, reliable production. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform precision alignments, welding and fabrication, and execute preventive maintenance. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on milling and wood-processing equipment Install, align, and repair motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and rotating equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures to minimize downtime Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals Execute welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required Follow strict safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures Maintain accurate maintenance records and support reliability improvements Collaborate with production and engineering to optimize equipment performance Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulic systems repair Pneumatic systems repair Alignment and installation of machinery Welding and fabrication Reading mechanical drawings and schematics Preventive maintenance planning Use of precision measuring tools Industrial safety and lockout/tagout procedures
