Full Job Description Job Summary:
MEDAIR ASSOCIATES
is looking for a skilled and dependable Construction & Mechanical Installation Technician to join our growing field-service team. This is a hands-on position involving the installation, assembly, service, and maintenance of specialized equipment at commercial and healthcare facilities throughout the United States. We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction, mechanical installation, equipment installation, maintenance, electrical work, or field service. Experience with patient lifts or medical equipment is an asset. The right candidate should be comfortable working with tools, reading drawings, working around suspended/T-bar ceilings, and traveling to different job sites. Key Responsibilities Perform hands-on installation and assembly of mechanical and specialized equipment. Install equipment and components above and around suspended/T-bar ceilings. Work safely within ceiling cavities and other challenging installation environments. Read and interpret construction drawings, installation drawings, layouts, and measurements. Perform drilling, anchoring, fastening, assembly, and related installation activities. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other job-site equipment. Perform measurements and assist with site assessments before installation. Identify potential installation, structural, or site-related issues. Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Test and inspect completed installations. Complete service reports, installation documentation, photographs, and other required paperwork. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, facility personnel, and project managers. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Follow OSHA, customer, and site-specific safety requirements. Travel throughout the United States based on project requirements. Key Benefit Work from home when not travelling. Qualifications Required 2-5 years of experience in construction, mechanical installation, equipment installation, maintenance, electrical work, HVAC, or field service. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings, diagrams, or installation instructions. Comfortable working from ladders and lifts. Comfortable working above suspended/T-bar ceilings. Ability to work independently and as part of a field team. Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is a plus: Commercial construction Mechanical installation Electrical HVAC Millwright Industrial maintenance Equipment installation Field service Elevator or lift installation Accessibility equipment Overhead equipment Suspended/T-bar ceiling work Healthcare facility construction Medical equipment installation Patient lift or ceiling-track installation
Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
