Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Millwright/Maintenance Worker Shift:
Day Shift Responsibilities:
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair and maintenance.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisor of repair needs.
  • Dismantle and reassemble machines and remove parts for repair, using appropriate tools.
  • Install, replace or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
  • Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, parts and equipment.
  • Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment and other supplies as needed.
  • Record production, repair and machine maintenance information.
  • Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines.
  • Clean machines and machine parts, using solvents, and various equipment.
  • Sharpen blades or replace defective or worn blades or bands using tools.
  • Lubricate or clean machines using various tools.
  • Troubleshoot & repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems.
  • Performs preventative and routine maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience required.
  • Be able to lift 50-100 pounds.
  • Follow all operational safety standards.
  • Communicate with coworkers by using signals to direct movement.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and some Saturdays as needed.
  • Works with others to identify, eliminate, reduce or control safety hazards.
  • Exhibits knowledge of use of various hand tools, welding and cutting tools.
  • Exhibits knowledge of welding fabricating skills.
Own Tools/Equipment:
Steel-toed safety books as required. Experience in a wood manufacturing facility, crucial

Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
