Grain System Sales Manager STATUS:

Non - Exempt

SALARY RANGE

$24-$30/hr.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Millwright is responsible for the construction, installation, maintenance, service, repair, and modification of grain storage and handling systems. This position works as part of a team to construct and maintain grain bins, conveyors, grain legs, towers, catwalks, unload systems, and related equipment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist with the construction and erection of new grain bins and grain storage systems.

Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair grain handling equipment and systems, including conveyors, augers, grain legs, bucket elevators, unload systems, fans, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment.

Perform mechanical repairs, equipment adjustments, welding, cutting, fabrication, and torch work as needed.

Read and follow layout plans, drawings, measurements, equipment specifications, and installation instructions.

Safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, cutting torches, lifts, and other equipment.

Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and staging materials at job sites.

Communicate project progress, equipment issues, material needs, and safety concerns to the Sales Manager.

Provide professional and courteous service when working at customer locations.

Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and EHS procedures.

Properly use required PPE and fall-protection equipment.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Maintain accurate work orders, service records, project documentation, and other required paperwork.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and assigned property in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
  • Participate in required company meetings, safety training, equipment training, and professional development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of grain handling equipment, construction practices, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Represent Gold Star FS in a professional manner at customer locations and job sites.
  • Previous agricultural, grain handling, construction, mechanical, welding, fabrication, or related experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment required.
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings, measurements, layouts, and installation instructions preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be able to travel to customer locations and job sites, including occasional overnight travel when necessary.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and seasonal hours as business needs require.
  • Must be able to work safely in agricultural, construction, and outdoor environments and around grain dust, noise, moving equipment, and other job-site hazards.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights, including grain bins, legs, towers, catwalks, and other elevated areas.
  • Must be able to work from lifts and platforms and in confined spaces when required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and working for extended periods.

Benefits eligibility may vary depending on the position. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
