Job Description

About the Role As a Plant Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational continuity by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial machinery and infrastructure. You will utilize your expertise in mechanical systems and welding to drive equipment reliability and support a safe, high-performing production environment. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs and preventative maintenance on diverse industrial machinery to minimize downtime. Perform precision electric arc and acetylene welding to fabricate or restore structural components. Install and maintain intricate piping systems, tubing, and fluid-handling fixtures throughout the facility. Lead technical projects and provide mentorship to junior staff to elevate team capabilities. Manage the layout and installation of new equipment, ensuring all hardware meets rigorous safety and performance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement long-term solutions. Qualifications Required Skills Journeyman status or equivalent combination of formal technical education and hands-on experience. High School Diploma or GED. Demonstrated proficiency in industrial welding and mechanical repair techniques. Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied industrial environments. Strong literacy skills for interpreting technical manuals and safety documentation. Preferred Skills Prior experience working within a foundry or heavy manufacturing setting. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience utilizing specialized measuring devices and power tools for precision maintenance.
