Millwright Gerdau - 4.1 Duluth, MN Job Details Full-time From $37.33 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Referral program Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Maintenance Mechanic - Job Summary Perform maintenance and repair activities to keep plant equipment, machinery, and tools operating safely and efficiently. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components including pumps, gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial equipment and machinery. Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and fitting of structural and mechanical components. Service pumps, gearboxes, motors, cranes, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and maintain repair records. Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes, loaders, and man-lifts. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards. Work independently and as part of a maintenance team. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Industrial Maintenance degree preferred. 3-5 years of heavy industrial mechanical maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, gearboxes, lubrication, welding, cutting torch operations, and
NFPA 70E.
Experience reading blueprints and schematics. Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, rigging, and TIG/stick welding. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, climb ladders, and perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. Ability to work in high-noise industrial environments.

From $37.33 per hour
