Position Summary:
The Industrial Technician will work in the manufacturing facility for Envision Outdoor Living Products LLC. In this position, the Industrial Technician will participate in a team environment and safely and efficiently produce quality decking and railing products.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs all work or tasks in a manner that complies with company safety standards and displays concern for safety of all other personnel.
  • Inspects and repairs all machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance, optimum utilization and equipment availability.
  • Develops or revises standard maintenance operational working practices and observes equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Demonstrates maintenance and repair of substandard or non-performing parts or processing components to restore process to standard performance expectations as defined by Operations requirements to support quality production.
  • Follows standard operating procedures for tasks assigned including record keeping and maintenance resources tracking in the form of work orders and daily labor
  • enhance the equipment history with detailed feedback.
  • Performs all electrical work or tasks in a manner that complies with OSHA and NEC
  • Supports the Maintenance Planning function by producing new job plans and constructive feedback on current job plans.
  • Works with Reliability Engineer to identify areas of potential equipment improvements.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following company policies and procedures.
  • Follows all company policies.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, safe work and trust among team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience (required except where noted):
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in Reliability and Maintenance. Knowledge Skills & Abilities (required):
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring tools. Examples of tools include Vibration, Infrared and Ultrasonic etc.
  • Ability to meet level of 4.0 to 7.9 from Industrial Tech Competencies Assessment Guide.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mechanical Aptitudes:
o Hydraulic
  • Proficient knowledge of the functional properties of hydraulics, and the limitations of such a system. o Pneumatic
  • Proficient knowledge of the functional properties of pneumatic systems.
  • Electrical aptitudes: o PLC
  • Proficient knowledge of the functional properties of all Rockwell automation programs. An above average understanding of processor logic, and troubleshooting such logic. o Ladder Logic
  • Proficient knowledge of the functional properties of ladder logic, using electrical schematics. o Troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate above average troubleshooting skills, with or without electrical schematics. o NEC
  • Proficient knowledge of the NEC, which includes, but is not limited to, the installation of Electrical conduit.
Safety:
o Proficient knowledge of OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Proficient understanding of SAP, Microsoft Office, Excel and Project Software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is required to stand for most of the work shift.
  • The employee is often required to walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • The work environment is manufacturing based. Noise levels may be moderate to high.
  • Employee may be exposed to fumes and particles.
  • Personal protective equipment is provided.
  • Overtime and shift work is required.
