We provide best in class technical services and we support our teams at client sites. Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Chemical Plant Millwright to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machinery within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical background, Chemical Plant maintenance expertise, and pipefitting experience as well. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment across the chemical plant. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and limited electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, and analysis skills. We need someone with good millwright skills for a chemical plant along with welding and pipefitting skills to support a small facility in Newark. Maintenance Millwrights' responsibilities include the following: Ability to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems malfunctions. Understanding of the correct handling and use of mechanical repair tools and equipment. Good Experience with pump rebuilds, pressure regulators, valves, and typical chemical plant equipment. Make repairs and rebuilds all equipment throughout the plant Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Dismantles machines Moves machinery and equipment Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and rails Constructs foundation for machines Aligns machines and equipment Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures Maintenance pipefitter's responsibilities include the following: Ability to choose the correct replacement piping and welding for existing systems. Understanding of the correct handling and use of mechanical repair tools and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot steam systems, steam traps, and condensate systems Ability to follow engineering documentation and drawings on new installation of pipe and piping systems inclusive of pipe racks, fasteners, and connections. Good experience with flanged pipe systems from 1"-20" diameter Make repairs and rebuilds all equipment throughout the plant Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Pipe welding ability and experience; welding certifications a plus Ability to use pipe threader and run threaded carbon steel pipe Good fabrication experience, installs, and pipe testing procedures Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred Three to five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both. Ability to read schematics, in depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Must be able to interact with all personnel levels Must work with others in a professional, supportive manner Ability to read policies and procedures Ability to follow all work directives and safety procedures Must be a motivated self-starterQualifications Proven experience in chemical manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance procedures. Ability to operate scissor lifts & manlifts safely and comply with safety standards related to industrial maintenance. Strong analysis skills coupled with troubleshooting expertise in equipment repair and engineering diagnostics. Excellent communication skills in English; ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
