Job Description

Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician
FULL-TIME

DAY SHIFT

CARSON CITY, NV
$28-$38 per hour, depending on experience Are you the person everyone calls when a machine goes down? The production supervisor calls you. Operators look for you. A difficult equipment problem does not intimidate you. You take pride in finding the root cause, completing the repair correctly, and preventing the problem from returning. If that sounds like you, we would like to talk. Ametherm is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to help maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the equipment at our Carson City manufacturing operation. We are seeking a hands-on problem solver who can work independently, communicate clearly with production employees, and take real ownership of equipment reliability. This is not simply a breakdown-response position. You will have the opportunity to use your experience, recommend improvements, strengthen preventive maintenance practices, and directly influence plant performance. What You Will Own
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic problems and identify root causes.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve safety, reliability, and equipment uptime.
  • Work with motors, controls, contactors, sensors, power distribution, belts, bearings, gearboxes, shafts, drive systems, heating elements, and temperature controls.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Install, modify, and improve equipment as operating needs change.
  • Maintain compressors and other facility support systems.
  • Coordinate with production personnel to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Recommend practical equipment and process improvements.
  • Help strengthen maintenance documentation, spare-parts practices, and preventive maintenance routines.
  • Provide occasional off-hours or weekend support for urgent equipment issues when needed. What We Are Looking For
  • Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience.
  • Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid mechanical repair experience with bearings, belts, gearboxes, shafts, motors, and drive systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Ability to diagnose problems systematically and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Good judgment, reliable attendance, and professional communication.
  • Commitment to safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout and required PPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around manufacturing equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Additional Experience That Is Valuable
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Industrial ovens, heating systems, thermocouples, and temperature controls.
  • Air compressors and facility support equipment.
  • Building or improving preventive maintenance programs. Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Day-shift, Monday-Friday schedule.
  • Competitive pay based on demonstrated capability and experience.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plan; and paid time off.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the maintenance function and make a visible impact.
  • Direct access to the people making operational decisions.
  • A stable, hands-on manufacturing environment where maintenance is important to daily success.
  • Room to improve equipment, systems, and maintenance practices rather than only respond to failures.
