Responsibilities The Maintenance Millwright:
Performs pre and post-operation inspections of plant equipment Operates and inspects equipment to diagnose defects and malfunctions Identifies root cause of complex equipment malfunctions and recommends repair process Dismantles and reassembles plant equipment and components to gain access to areas of concern Examines parts for excessive wear and determines reusability Repairs replaces, cleans, and lubricates parts and components as necessary Diagnoses and repairs plant equipment and components Replaces malfunctioning subassemblies and components Welds, cuts, and fabricates Completes maintenance checklist and tests repaired equipment to ensure accurate completion of repair Makes recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources Identifies parts needed and notifies Maintenance Supervisor Maintains records and reporting Provides general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility Meets customer service requirements Complies with all safety regulations and policies Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Maintenance certification or degree preferred or equivalent experience Past experience will steel mills, metal stamping equipment, large industrial systems Knowledge of processing plants, conveyors systems, feeders, and other components Knowledge of electrical systems Knowledge of braking systems Mechanical skills Welding, cutting, and fabricating skills Ability to manipulate hand and power tools Ability to operate equipment Ability to read and write Ability to understand manuals
