Job Title:

Millwright Job Description This role focuses on installing, dismantling, relocating, and assembling industrial machinery and production equipment across a variety of industrial facilities. You perform precision alignment and mechanical repairs, interpret technical drawings, and support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Install, dismantle, relocate, and assemble industrial machinery and production equipment in manufacturing and industrial facilities. Perform equipment alignment, leveling, and rigging operations to ensure safe and accurate installation. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications to plan and execute work. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and process equipment. Perform bearing replacements, shaft alignments, belt changes, and mechanical rebuilds on a wide range of industrial equipment. Assist with plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital improvement projects, meeting project schedules and quality expectations. Operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and rigging equipment safely and effectively. Collaborate closely with project supervisors and customer personnel to complete projects on schedule and according to specifications. Follow all site-specific safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all project locations. Essential Skills At least 3 years of experience as a millwright, in industrial maintenance, mechanical installation, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience working in manufacturing, distribution, automotive, food processing, paper, steel, chemical, or other industrial facilities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately. Strong knowledge of pumps, conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Demonstrated ability to perform precision alignment and equipment installation. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for complex industrial systems. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and rigging equipment. Understanding and practical application of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel to various customer sites. Ability to work extended hours as needed, including overtime. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding and fabrication experience is a plus and enhances versatility on projects. OSHA 10 safety training is beneficial for working in industrial environments. Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair in high-volume or continuous-process facilities. Ability to work effectively with project supervisors and customer personnel in a team-oriented setting. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues. Comfort working with power tools and industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Springfield, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
