Day Shift Help for . Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and machines using power and hand tools.
Provides assistance in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics.
Perform basic maintenance and parts replacement on Overhead Cranes and Jib Hoist.
Disassembles equipment to gain access to defective parts, examines parts for wear and breakage.
Replaces worn or damaged parts.
Cleans and lubricates equipment and machines.
A basic understanding of fluid mechanics (hydraulics and pneumatics, and all of the components involved).
May also perform some of the duties of a welder, such as arc welding, and oxyacetylene cutting. Must pass background check. Convictions considered on a case by case basis.
Abilities include:
Able to read and understand general fabrication drawings and welding specifications and procedures.
Pipefitting (pipes under 180psi)
Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
Capable of working on heights using proper fall protection.
Capable of hand torching (using diverse techniques) with precision.
Capable of supervising helpers.
Technical Requirements:
Required formal training in welding techniques or 5 years of proven welding experience.
One years' experience in manufacturing facilities.
