Industrial Millwright / Pipe Welder - Mechanical Field Service Piedmont Precision Machine Co., Inc. is looking for a highly skilled Industrial Millwright / Pipe Welder with strong mechanical experience to join our field service team. This position is for someone who can do more than just weld. We need an experienced industrial mechanic who can walk into a plant, understand the problem, and help get equipment back up and running. Responsibilities Industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and breakdowns Install and replace bearings, shafts, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and related components Perform equipment alignment, leveling, shimming, and setup Conveyor installation and repair Industrial piping installation and repair Carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe welding TIG, Stick, and MIG welding as required Fabrication, fitting, cutting, layout, and field modifications Rigging and machinery moving Equipment removal and relocation Shutdown and outage work Emergency industrial repair Work from drawings, measurements, and field conditions Lead or assist small field crews when required Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with strong hands-on industrial experience who is comfortable working independently and solving problems in the field.

Preferred experience includes:

Industrial millwright or industrial maintenance experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability Pipe fitting and pipe welding experience 6G pipe welding ability is highly preferred TIG root / Stick fill and cap experience preferred Bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors, and rotating equipment Shaft and coupling alignment Rigging and equipment setting Fabrication and field welding Industrial plant shutdowns and maintenance work What We Value Most The ideal person is a strong industrial mechanic first who can also weld pipe. Experienced millwrights, pipe welders, industrial mechanics, and field-service technicians are encouraged to apply.
