West Fraser is seeking a skilled Millwright to keep our modern lumber manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably. In this on-site role, you will install, maintain, and repair sawmill and plant machinery, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair sawmill and manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on production machinery Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to support repairs and installations Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize and complete work orders Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues or improvement opportunities Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives within the mill Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulics and pneumatics Welding and fabrication Blueprints and schematics reading Preventive maintenance planning Alignment and installation of machinery Mechanical diagnostics and repair Use of hand and power tools Safety and lockout/tagout procedures
