Experienced Maintenance Technician (Safety Focused) Day Shift The Maintenance Mechanic will support a dedicated safety initiative focused on improving the reliability, safe operation, and risk reduction of aerospace assets through routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs. This role will help identify equipment hazards, address maintenance-related safety concerns, support corrective actions, and ensure work is completed in accordance with technical manuals, blueprints, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience, a strong safety-first mindset, the ability to recognize and communicate potential risks, and the capability to work independently or with cross-functional teams to support the successful execution of the safety project. Functions and Responsibilities Install, repair and maintain production/manufacturing equipment. Inspect equipment for proper functioning and performs all levels of preventative maintenance duties, per manufacturer's specifications. Diagnose basic and some complex equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments efficiently. Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents. Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures. Train others in multiple areas and on a variety of skills. Collaborate effectively with others to identify, schedule, and plan repairs, maintenance activities, and project work. Manage work performed by to ensure compliance with company safety and quality requirements. Works under limited oversight. Source parts for repair and preventative maintenance of equipment Utilize CMMS software Qualifications 2-5 years industrial maintenance experience required. Preferred experience with forklifts and moving large equipment. Requires experience in troubleshooting one or more of the following categories: CNC equipment Hydraulic presses Vacuum furnaces X-rays Lasers PLC's/Electrical General knowledge of codes and regulations related to equipment and facilities preferred. Knowledge of shop math and precision measuring equipment. High School Diploma or equivalent GED required Physical Requirements Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material. Use of protective clothing, goggles, and other equipment to prevent injuries. Wearing a respirator may also be required. Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation Pay Range:
