What you will be doing:
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and backhoes to excavate trenches and prepare sites for septic system installation or sewer conversion Install septic tanks, trenching, drain fields, piping, and related components Excavate for utilities and site preparation Work closely with the crew to maintain safe, efficient jobsites Learn and apply proper grading, elevations, and layout Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance on-site Read site plans, as builts or blue prints to execute installations Assist with truck driving duties to transport equipment, materials, and supplies between sites Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently during installation processes Required Skills Some Experience Required operating heavy machinery such as excavators, forklifts, or skid steers Valid driver's license with reliable transportation a must Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, wrenches) and power tools (drills, saws) effectively Understanding of basic jobsite safety and workflow Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and seasonal conditions This position is designed for operators with existing seat time who are comfortable working on residential projects and growing their skills in septic installations and related projects. Preferred Skills Residential septic installation experience Experience digging foundations and utility trenches Ability to read basic site plans Mechanical aptitude or equipment maintenance experience Familiarity with residential or commercial construction or excavation environments preferred Bonus Certified OSM or Pumper Pierce, King, or Thurston County Installer Certification Bilingual Spanish/English Pay $25
  • 35/hr + over time = $75,000
  • $100,000/year Schedule Regular Monday
