SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The Senior Digital/RF Tech will be responsible for Testing and Debug of PCA (Printed Circuit Assemblies) and various Sub-Assemblies. They will need to have experience in redlining and rewriting procedures from Engineering during product transitioning and during the Product Life Cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Test and Debug Digital PCAs down to the component level.
  • Perform some high-level SMT solder rework when needed.
  • Read and Interpret Schematics.
  • Work with Engineers on prototype release and builds and help the HTL team transition product into Manufacturing.
  • Proactively identify and help address issues with appropriate groups to assure a smooth production scheduling/processing.
  • Help provide End of Run Reviews and Analytics.
  • Support the R&R team when their backlog gets massive.
COMPETENCIES 1.

Senior Level Digital Component Debug 2. Senior Level RF Component Debug. 3. Have the ability to search and audit BOMs. 4. Knows how to redline/rewrite a comprehensive test procedure. 5. Comfortable in a technical trainer like roll. 6. Review and Suggest Routing changes for better quality and throughput. 7. Read Schematics 8. Read Part Drawings 9. Familiar with Windows Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, Power Point....).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility. TRAVEL No travel is expected for this position.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1.

High school diploma or GED 2. Ten (10) years minimum of practical Digital Debug experience. 3. Lean Management Training/ Exposure. 4. Formal training and experience in PCA and mechanical Assembly.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1.

Certification in IPC standards a plus. 2. Technical Degree is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The tech is expected to be able to lift 50lbs minimum, because of the weight of the various pieces of test equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly seated (work-station/bench-type). The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently works with small objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job is performed indoors in a manufacturing lab setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work with hands and looking at PC Screens.
