Georgia Mechanical, Inc. Put Your Commercial Kitchen Experience to Work Georgia Mechanical is seeking an experienced service technician who knows commercial refrigeration and food service equipment. This position supports restaurants and other commercial food service facilities throughout Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. The right candidate will bring at least five years of relevant field experience and the ability to troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, gas, and mechanical systems. We are looking for a dependable professional who can assess equipment problems, complete quality repairs, and communicate clearly with customers. Equipment You'll Service This role includes diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and installing a variety of commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment, including: Walk-in coolers and freezers Reach-in refrigerators and freezers Commercial ice machines Fryers and grills Commercial ovens and steamers Warmers and hot-holding equipment Refrigeration systems and related components Other commercial culinary equipment Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities As a member of Georgia Mechanical's service team, you will: Diagnose equipment failures in restaurants and commercial kitchens Repair commercial refrigeration and food service equipment Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and gas-related problems Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on refrigeration and culinary equipment Install replacement equipment, parts, and components Explain completed repairs and service recommendations professionally to customers Complete digital work orders and service reports Maintain accurate documentation for all work performed Keep your assigned company vehicle clean and organized Follow company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards Perform refrigeration work in accordance with EPA guidelines Participate in the company's emergency-service on-call rotation Work independently in the field while contributing to the larger service team Experience and Credentials Required Applicants must have: A minimum of five years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration and/or food service equipment Previous experience working on commercial kitchen equipment in restaurant environments EPA Universal Certification Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, gas systems, and mechanical components A valid driver's license and clean driving record The ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and customer service skills The ability to lift more than 50 pounds The ability to work on ladders, rooftops, and inside active commercial kitchens Additional Qualifications We Value The following credentials and experience are preferred: CFESA certification Manufacturer or factory training Experience servicing equipment made by one or more of the following manufacturers: True Hoshizaki Manitowoc Scotsman Turbo Air Traulsen Delfield Vulcan Garland Southbend Frymaster Rational Cleveland Hobart Heatcraft Trenton Compensation, Equipment, and Benefits Georgia Mechanical offers experienced technicians: Hourly pay of $35.00-$45.00, based on experience and skill Opportunities to earn overtime A company truck A company fuel card A company phone and tablet Company-provided uniforms Medical, dental, and vision insurance Eight paid holidays each year Paid vacation and paid time off A 401(k) plan with company match Continued manufacturer and technical training Opportunities for career advancement Consistent, year-round work Supportive leadership that recognizes and values technical expertise Build Your Career with Georgia Mechanical Georgia Mechanical has provided quality mechanical services since 1987.
