Job Description

About Us Northern Geo, LLC manufactures high‑efficiency geothermal heat pumps, energy‑recovery systems, and other advanced HVAC/R products. Our team is dedicated to producing reliable, sustainable equipment that supports the transition to clean, renewable energy. We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Assembly Technician to support the assembly, brazing, testing, and quality assurance of refrigeration circuits used in our geothermal heat pumps and related equipment. Key Responsibilities Assemble refrigeration circuits, including piping, coils, compressors, valves, and related components Perform copper tube brazing, soldering, and leak‑free joint fabrication Install and connect refrigeration components according to engineering drawings and work instructions Conduct pressure testing, vacuuming, and charging procedures following established standards Inspect assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications Operate tools and equipment such as torches, vacuum pumps, gauges, and hand tools Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols Document work performed and report defects, material shortages, or equipment concerns Qualifications Experience in refrigeration assembly, HVAC/R, or related manufacturing preferred Proficiency in copper brazing and refrigeration piping techniques Understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and basic system operation Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Familiarity with pressure testing, vacuum procedures, and charging practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast‑paced production environment HVAC/R certification or training is a plus but not required High school diploma or equivalent
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
