We're looking for an experienced, customer-friendly repair technician to be the lead tech in the store from day one. CPR is part of Assurant and has hundreds of locations across North America. You'll be repairing devices at our front counter, in front of customers, and helping build a new store's reputation in the community. What you'll do Diagnose and repair smartphones, tablets, laptops and game consoles: screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, back glass, and water damage. Perform board-level and microsoldering repairs (preferred; we can help develop this skill). Check customers in, explain repair options and pricing clearly, and set realistic turnaround times. Handle warranty and insurance repairs to brand standards, using genuine parts where required. Keep accurate tickets, parts inventory, and device-security records. Test and quality-check every device before handoff. Help sell accessories, screen protection, and pre-owned devices. Keep the bench, counter and sales floor clean and organized. What we're looking for 1-2+ years of hands-on phone/tablet repair experience at a repair shop, carrier store, or independent business. Confidence with iPhone and Samsung repairs, including screen, battery, and port replacements. Strong customer service and clear communication. You'll be the face of the store. Reliability, honesty, and careful handling of customers' devices and data. Comfort working independently and opening/closing the store. Nice to have Microsoldering or board-level repair experience. Apple, Samsung, or iFixit-style certifications. Experience with repair POS or ticketing systems. Laptop and console repair experience. Spanish or another second language.
