Aerospace Manufacturing Position Overview:
The Senior Electronics Technician troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electronic components and systems used in aerospace applications — identifying failure causes, repairing or replacing defective parts, and ensuring systems meet technical specifications. This role works with schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support production, testing, and maintenance of aerospace electronic assemblies. Candidates from outside the aviation/avionics industry are encouraged to apply if they bring strong component-level troubleshooting experience, an associate's degree (or equivalent), and a solid foundation in electrical theory.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot complex electronic systems and components down to the component level (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.) Use diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) to identify root causes of failure Perform repairs on electronic assemblies and boards, including rework of solder joints, connectors, and circuitry, to industry quality standards Test and inspect repaired systems to verify functionality and confirm they meet design specifications Document troubleshooting, repairs, and test results, including failure causes and corrective actions Prepare reports for management/engineering on failure trends and reliability improvements
Experience:
3+ years as an electronics technician, preferably in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry — strong candidates with comparable electrical experience are also encouraged to apply Proven component-level troubleshooting and repair of analog and digital electronic systems Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints Proficient with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers) Soldering/desoldering experience for PCB rework Familiarity with aerospace components (avionics, comms, power supplies, sensors) a plus Knowledge of
AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA
regulations, or
IPC-A-610
a plus
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
