Heavy Equipment Service Technician Young Farm Machinery - Flemingsburg, KY Young Farm Machinery is looking for a dependable Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team. We work primarily on tractors, farm equipment, and other heavy machinery. We are looking for someone who has general mechanical knowledge, is willing to learn, shows up ready to work, and takes pride in correctly diagnosing and repairing equipment. This position involves more than simply replacing parts. We need someone who can troubleshoot equipment, correctly identify the cause of a problem, and work toward making the proper repair. Responsibilities & Requirements Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair tractors, farm equipment, and other heavy machinery Correctly identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain problems Have a general understanding of how engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, gearboxes, and related components operate Perform repairs and routine maintenance safely and correctly Be willing and able to learn unfamiliar equipment and systems Be dependable and show up to work on time Report to work clean and sober Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds Keep your work area reasonably clean and organized Be able to work independently when appropriate Communicate with other employees when assistance is needed Work safely and responsibly around tractors and heavy machinery Previous experience working on tractors, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, diesel engines, automotive equipment, or similar machinery is preferred. However, we are willing to provide training to someone who has a good mechanical foundation and is willing to learn.
