Job Description

Job Overview Dine Company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. We are the premier full-service dealer in Kentucky and Southern Indiana serving foodservice operators. Work in a family friendly, caring, professional, growth-oriented environment with people who have a passion for our customers. We are expanding our Service Department and are actively seeking a Service Technician for field service repair and to work in our reconditioning shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality service and support for a variety of commercial food equipment , focused on gas and electric hot side equipment, countertop equipment, food prep equipment and more. Some work on refrigeration equipment up to replacing compressors. This role requires a strong technical background in equipment repair and maintenance, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently on-site or in-house in our shop. Successful technicians will be performing field work and shop work including refurbishing used restaurant equipment. Duties
  • Perform field installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial food equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify equipment malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
  • Utilize OEM specifications to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Coordinating records with Director of Service
  • Provide training and guidance to clients on proper equipment use and maintenance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on gas and electric supplies while performing all tasks for troubleshooting and testing
  • Ability to drive box trucks with DOT license is a plus but not required Requirements
  • Proven experience in appliance repair
  • Familiarity with gas and electric commercial food equipment.
  • Familiarity with commercial refrigeration o EPA licensing a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Experience operating forklifts; certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of restaurant equipment maintenance practices.
  • Ability to utilize provided technology and documents to maintain efficiency
  • Ability to work independently in various environments, including remote locations.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for on-site service calls.
