About the Role As a Heavy Equipment Service Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational readiness of a modern construction fleet. You will leverage advanced diagnostic technology to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems, ensuring our machinery performs reliably to support critical infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair intricate hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems across a diverse range of heavy machinery. Utilize digital diagnostic tools and tablets to accurately document work orders and track service intervals. Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and extend the lifespan of our fleet. Travel to job sites to provide expert field repairs, maintaining a professional and organized service vehicle. Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge and best practices for complex repairs. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to strict safety protocols and industry compliance standards. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and electrical diagrams. Possession of a comprehensive set of personal tools applicable to heavy equipment repair. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate company vehicles. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Preferred Skills Completion of a formal trade school program or equivalent technical certification. Prior experience in a field service role managing customer-facing repairs. In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance.
